Perhaps it’s best to first determine just what a carbon footprint is.  As started on the Energy Saving Trust site,  a carbon footprint is „the amount of CO2 that enters the atmosphere because of the electricity and fuel you use.“  The more CO2 that is produced, the greater the impact on global warming.

There are plenty of ways to reduce your carbon footprint. If you will be undertaking home improvements, consider replacing your appliances with “greener” models.
